A recipient of ten GRAMMY Awards, the renowned saxophonist will talk about his piece Ladies in White, inspired by recent events in his native country. Later, we go with Patricio Lerzundi to the backstage of Repertorio Español, to meet Puerto Rican actress Denise Quiñones. The beautiful actress, who won the Miss Universe pageant in 2001, will tell us about her transition to cinema and theater and about the characters that she has played in the last few years. Finally, we will speak with John Ross, a journalist and writer from New York. We will talk in depth about his life and his dedication, for over 50 years, to activism and independent media. From the bohemian Greenwich Village of the 60s to the invasion of Iraq in 2003, as well as the Latin America of the 80s and the Zapatista Revolution of the 90s.

Endowed with a prodigious talent, an extraordinary memory and an enormous curiosity for every field of human knowledge, Viñes was friend, dedicatoire, and first-performer of some of the most important composers of his time: Ravel, Satie, Debussy, Falla, Granados, as well as Stravinsky, and Poulenc, among others. Alejandra Pacheco studied piano with Alicia de Larrocha in Barcelona (Spain) for several years and has focused her concert activity on the Spanish music of the 20th Century. She has also published several research works on this subject, and taken part in International Congresses and Seminars. She has been granted a Fulbright scholarship and is currently a Visiting Scholar at the Foundation for Iberian Music. His songs have been performed by acclaimed singers including José Carreras, Montserrat Caballé, Alfredo Kraus, José Van Dam, Jaime Aragall, current Met’s baritone Juan Pons, and many others. In 1992 he wrote the music for the 1992 Barcelona Olympic Games. More recently, the Orquestra Simfònica de Barcelona i Nacional de Catalunya (Barcelona Symphony and Catalonia National Orchestra) premiered a large ambitious orchestral work, Nocturn per a un capvespre blau (Nocturne for a blue evening). As an arranger, he has participated in many notable events including the CD Christmas in Vienna with Diana Ross and The Three Tenors. As a producer, his recording of the opera El gato con botas (Puss in boots) by Xavier Montsalvatge was nominated for a Grammy Award in 2004.
